Session Description:

Learning Outcomes:

Learn about better identifying patients that have balance problems using novel clinical and or questionnaire based methods. Learn about how different methods of managing such patients can improve outcomes.

Who is the session aimed at?: ENT Doctors, Audiologists, Audio vestibular physicians and Vestibular Physiotherapists.

Outline of the session: The session will be designed to be an interactive workshop. An initial lecture will cover the problem that patients and clincians face including mechanisms of vestibular and/or cochlear toxicity following platinum based chemotherapy. Current research will be briefly presented which will inform novel methods of more accurately detecting patients with problems after chemotherapy. Discussing the management of patients with vestibulotoxixity will be discussed including case based scenarios.
