Interested in ENT/ medical student or junior doctor?  Join us at our ‘Student and Foundation Doctors in Otolaryngology’ (SFO) day at BACO International 2018 on Thursday 5 July 2018.  Career talks, portfolio advice and skills stations such as nasal cautery and packing, bronchoscopy, temporal bone/sinus surgery 3D simulators, rhinoplasty/grommet/tonsil tie stations and much more!

Don’t forget to submit an abstract too.  There will be prizes for best oral and poster presentations.  Abstract submission deadline extended to: 11.00pm Friday 13 April 2018

The Student Skills Centre,  located in the Exhibition Hall will run a morning and afternoon session on Thursday 5  July; Session 1 10.30 – 13.00. Session 2 15.30 – 18.00. During each session students will be able to experience all 10 stations.

Why should I attend the SFO skills session?

 Practice clinical skills such as nasal packing & cautery, tonsil ties, grommet insertion, nasendoscopy and tracheostomy

 Learn the principles of rhinoplasty and have a go yourself! Learn how to assemble a bronchoscope and remove foreign bodies from an airway. Perform a cortical mastoidectomy using a 3D simulators and insert a bone-anchored hearing aid!

 Receive valuable advice about building your CV and portfolios from previously successful candidates

Places limited to 40 delegates so please book early to avoid disappointment!

The cost of one session (2.5 hrs) is just £10. Students will be able to book their session shortly via the BACO registration system. Students who have already registered for BACO will be notified when booking is available and will be able to add their Student Skills session to their registration record.
