Sady Selaimen da Costa finished his residency in Otolaryngology in 1986 in the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre – Brazil. After that he attended a two year fellowship program in Otology and Neurotology in Minneapolis (USA) under the supervision of Professor Michael M. Paparella.
He returned to Brazil, joining the University of São Paulo where he got his Master and PhD degrees. He is the Past President of the two largest ENT related societies in Brazil: the Brazilian Otological Society and the Brazilian Association of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.
He is also a member of the Collegium ORL Amicitiae Sacrum, the Fisch Foundation in Switzerland and the International Hearing Foundation in Minneapolis.
Dr. Da Costa serves as Vice-Chairman of the International Advisory Board of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. Currently, he is Clinical Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology in the University of Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil.
