Ron Mitchell, MD is Professor of Otolaryngology and Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. He is the William Beckner Distinguished Chair in Otolaryngology.
He completed his Otolaryngology training in London and a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship in LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, Memphis, TN. His research focuses on OSA in children. He has received several grants and has published over 100 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.
He is a PI for the Pediatric Adenotonsillectomy Trial (PATS) and completed the Randomized Controlled Study of Adenotonsillectomy for Childhood Sleep Apnea (CHAT) both sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH).
