Professor Peter Rea

Peter has been a consultant Otologist at University Hospitals of Leicester since 2004. He is Chairman of the British Society of Neuro-otology, Secretary of the British Society of Otology, and Honorary Professor of Balance Medicine at De Montfort University.

He has helped build one of the UK’s largest balance clinics overseeing some 7,000 balance appointments per year.

He has an active research programme with recent publications on intra-tympanic therapies for Meniere’s Disease, balance investigation tools, and middle and inner ear surgery, and ongoing work with the 100,000 genome project, and artificial intelligence in medical diagnostics.

He has run the 3 day Leicester Balance Course for 14 years and lectures regularly nationally and internationally.
