Professor Ashok Shenoy completed his post-graduation in Otolaryngology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in India in 1984, and was conferred the FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2000. He has been trained in Laser Surgery, Phonosurgery, Skull Base Surgery, Microvascular Surgery and Robotic Surgery at centers of excellence in USA , S. Korea and Europe.
He was the Director and the former Chairman of the Dept of Head & Neck Surgery at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology since 1988; he is the current Governing Council Chairman of the Foundation for Head & Neck Oncology.
He has trained over 100 Fellows in the field of Head and Neck surgical oncology and today runs a MCh (Head & Neck Surgery) program under the aegis of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. In addition, several younger genre of head and neck surgeons from the USA, Germany, UK, Iraq, Nepal and Italy have trained with him from periods of one to twelve months.
