I qualified from Manchester University with an honours degree in 2001. I completed my junior doctor training in Manchester and Newcastle-upon-Tyne before completing my ENT higher surgical training in the West Midlands and two fellowships (Dunedin, New Zealand & Manchester, UK).
I have completed a PhD (Nijmegen, Netherlands) and have a Masters degree in Medical Education (Dundee University).
I have been a consultant ENT surgeon since 2014 at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham with an interest in otology & balance.
I was appointed chairman of the Student & Foundation Doctors in Otolaryngology (SFO UK) committee in 2016. I am a senior honorary clinical lecturer with Birmingham University and an associate editor for the Journal of Laryngology & Otology.
