I trained in Dundee, Bristol and Toronto and have been a consultant for 25 years in Glasgow, Scotland. I co-founded the Scottish Sinus Surgery course. I organised the Scottish national tonsil audit. I am a past chair of the Intercollegiate FRCS Examination in Otolaryngology.
As ENT UK president, departmental standards, consultant education, ENT surgeon revalidation, how to stay emergency safe and a national epistaxis audit are my principle undertakings.
I have a Glasgow rugby season ticket and play on the Seniors’ (over 55) amateur golf circuit.
