Are you looking for something different?

If you’re looking for something different.. then BACO 2018 is for you

Looking for something outside the box?  BACO 2018 challenges you with topics beyond research, clinical, educational and professional topics.  What about our history, what can we learn from outside ENT, how do we interact with the media?

Following the Master’s welcome on Wednesday morning Professor Hugh Montgomery delivers the first of BACO’s world class plenary sessions.  As an adventurer, scientist and intensivist he will give a fascinating talk on science and research in extreme environments.  Looking back as well as forwards, the history of ENT offers 4 fascinating stories from the past including one about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. An instructional session offers new insight into efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and quality in healthcare.

On Thursday an instructional session outlines the principles and practice of lean management and explores how it can be applied to ENT.

Friday begins with the second world class plenary with award winning former ITV science and medical editor, Lawrence McGinty offering insight into the relationship between medicine and the media.
