Harsha Kariyawasam is Consultant in Allergy and Respiratory Medicine at the Royal National Throat Nose Ear Hospital London. He is lead clinician for medical rhinology with a special interest in rhinitis, sinusitis and complex asthma.
He read medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, with specialist training at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He was the winner of the PhD thesis prize at Imperial College London, appointed advisor in Allergy Medicine to the Civil Aviation Authority and is on the editorial board of Allergy.
His research focus is on mechanisms of airway disease and understanding the relationship between the upper and lower airway.
